When the weather is hot and humid, we always recommend that you and your party be vigilant to keep hydrated and take care with sun protection. This will keep your skin smooth and fresh for your makeup application. Another key step is applying a light sunscreen, we like to use Josie Maran Argan Moisturizer SPF 47, its all natural, paraben-free and not greasy! It is lightweight and great to wear under your makeup!
We also recommend a moisturizing primer. We love MakeUp Forever Step 1 Hydrating Primer. Airbrushing will also give you a long lasting look! We like to lightly apply MakeUp Forever HD foundations by airbrushing over the skin with the air gun, it instantly sets the makeup to your skin leaving you absolutely flawless! You also want to make sure you have an amazing setting spray to seal in the makeup! We often spray setting sprays throughout the makeup application to give you extra hold. We love to use MakeUp Forever Mist and Fix, Mac Prep and Prime or for extra super waterproof hold Ben Nye Final Seal.
The hair is just as important as the makeup and to really get the look the to last, the most important thing is prepping the hair. Always being sure to start with completely dry hair, we like to start with a volumizing power like Powder Puff by Kevin Murphy or a dry shampoo like Bastite Voluminzing (yes! just the drugstore brand, we have yet to find a better professional one). Probably the most important product we use for hair is hair spray, we love Joico 8-10 Power Spray. You can really layer in this spray, brush it out and it never feels crunchy or sticky and really holds the style. To finish the look and add shine and anti-frizz we use a little Davines Oi Oil or for volume all the way throughout the hair we love Bedroom Hair by Kevin Murphy.
