Planning a destination wedding can be as exciting as it is overwhelming. Make your life easy by throwing these 5 must have items into your destination wedding travel bag.
Sounds like a no brainer but finding a high quality, non harmful sunscreen on the road can be a challenge. Plan ahead and pick up Kiss My Face Sun Spray Lotion, not only is it easy to apply, it is water resistant and non nano. We also love this resource for checking how your favourite sunscreen measures up.
2. Waterproof Makeup
Absolutely essential for those teary moments or the hot summer heat. One of our favourites, for long lasting waterproof coverage is Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer. There are shades to match any skin tone and it will totally keep you covered morning to night.
3. Anti Humidity Hair Spray
Keep those fly aways in place and combat any tropical humidity with Bamboo Smooth Anti-Humidity Hair Spray by Alterna Haircare. We love Alterna because all their products are FREE of Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates & other harsh or unnecessary additives.
4. Setting Spray
Keep your makeup in place without the ‘cakey’ look of too much powder. We love Urban Decay De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray. Mist on this weightless spray to control oil, deflect surface shine and help makeup stay put all day.
5. Hair Oil
All the sun, sand and sea can really take a toll on your hair. Keep it healthy, shiny and frizz free with our most favourite hair oil, Davines Oi/ Absolute Beautifying Potion.

Sunlit surf and sand along the pebbly shores of Tower Beach. The styling is easy going summer beauty. Minimal makeup with peachy coral tones, playing to the slightly vintage styling of the second look with a pop of red lips. The hair is wind swept loose waves woven into romantic braids wrapped around the crown, adorned with wild flowers plucked from the lavish unruly floral bouquets. This gorgeous love story took place at the University Golf Club amidst family and friends and a gorgeous summer day. The whole day felt so incredibly relaxed and full of love, it most certainly did not feel like work. Mary Ann and Dominic are two of the warmest, most welcoming people I have ever photographed. I love clicking with clients and feeling as if I’m welcomed not only into their day, but into their life, for the duration of the time that we spend and work together. Overall, it was such an intimate, peaceful and stunning day and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to capture these memories for Mary Ann and Dominic for years to come. Mary Ann and Dominic met at work and love quickly followed. When Dominic proposed, he did so in front of Mary Ann’s family and friends, surprising her by asking her to marry him in her native language, Tagalog. Their wedding day was full of romance and plenty of DIY charm. The bride did all of the printed materials herself as well as the flower arrangements (with flowers from a local farm). I love lavender and lace and the bride managed to incorporate both in such a simple beautiful, and incredibly romantic way. The setup looked and smelled amazing! I love the couple’s love for each other and family and friends. They have so much fun together and I think that shows in the many photographs filled with laughter. I also enjoyed being present when the bride was surprised with a video of family and friends in the Philippines wishing her well – the happiness on her face was radiant and such a beautiful moment to photograph!
